This is worth mentioning again...DO NOT feel intimidated to enter! This is all for fun. The only way to get better, improve yourself, and your skills is to do things that put you out of your comfort zone. Remember this quote by Robert Allen: "Everything you want is just outside your comfort zone."


As I've said before, I like to KEEP THINGS SIMPLE whether it be the look of my pictures or the set-up of my pictures, I'm all about simplicity. For me, one of the fastest and easiest ways to get a good clean simple background is to use paper! That's right...scrapbooking paper, wrapping paper, construction paper...whatever paper I can find.

This one was actually my daughter, Maddie's, idea. I was taking pictures of the cupcakes just using the white foam board as a backdrop and she came over and propped up that sheet of scrapbook paper behind it. I would normally never choose this particular piece on paper but it actually turned out pretty cool!

And here is the set-up for the rest of the pictures. I merely changed out the scrapbook paper which took me a whopping total of 5 seconds each time.
