Photoberfest Week 3: Action
Welcome to week 3 of Photoberfest! This week is all about action. Showing action, freezing action, you got it, ACTION. Because I'm still on vacation with my hubby here in Chicago, my post is going to be short, sweet and straight to the point. But be prepared for more great tutorials and tips on action throughout the entire week.
It's easy to show action by manipulating your shutter speed. When you have a short shutter speed you are able to freeze action like this shot below. The shutter speed is 1/30th of a second.
In this shot I was able to show action my using a very slow shutter speed of 5 seconds. A slow shutter speed keeps your shutter open for a long time which causes anything that is moving in the picture to look like a streak or blurry.
