Date in a Jar
On a whim I entered a fun little competition on the Crafting Chicks blog...and surprisingly, I won! The contest was called "Home made simple". You simply had to send in a picture of a home made gift you made. I sent in the picture of a bridal shower gift I made called, "Date in a Jar", which is a jar full of fun/silly dates you can do for a dollar. Then I rolled up a dollar bill and attached the idea to the dollar with some twine. See the pictures below:
I made the apothecary jar by gluing (using E-6000 glue) a glass candle stick holder to a long glass jar. (both found at the dollar store.)
Easy, cheap and fun!

That is so nice of you to share! I bought your e-book a couple of weeks ago and read it in one setting- the words and especially the pictures inspired me to talk my husband into a DSLR camera this year.
Anyway- I too have an obsession with making Pottery Barn knockoffs and cheap dates. I went through the process to get the free dates download and it says that there is no download available... I'll try again later and hope it works! Thanks again for sharing your talents in other areas too!
The downloads are now working! :)
I can't find how to download the date ideas...It sounds so cool I would really like to see the download!! Thanks and thanks for sharing!
