okay, back to the subject at hand...
With Valentines day comes the exciting Valentines cards. I loved writing out my Valentine cards and passing them out to my classmates. And yes, I was one of those grade schoolers who took the love phrases on the cards very seriously. I MADE sure that the boy I liked was given a specific Valentine with specific candies. :)
This will be Maddie's first year to pass out Valentines to her classmates. I was excited to make some fun ones for her. A couple of months ago I had this idea to have her wear a mustache and to use the phrase, "I "mustache" you a question...will you be my Valentine?". And lucky me I actually found some really cute mustaches at the Dollar Store! score! (my husband thinks I'm
So are here 5 different ones. Maddie and I can't decide which one we like the most. Which one is your favorite?
ISO 320, 50mm, f/2.0, 1/4000th
editing: I applied this free preset called whoiswolf_1 in Lightroom and then decreased the yellow saturation to -92 and the decreased the orange saturation to -18.
320, 50mm, f/2.0, 1/2500th
editing: I applied this free preset called Summer Haze 2 in Lightroom and then the decreased the orange saturation to -35 and increased the brightness to +13.
320, 50mm, f/2.0, 1/2500th
editing: I decreased all the colors (except for red) to -100. Then I used the saturation brush, decreased to -100, and brushed over all the remaining reddish parts that I didn't want to be red like her hair and the red reflecting from the heart on to her sweater. And then I used my own Black & White conversion techniques found here.
320, 50mm, f/2.0, 1/2500th
editing: I applied a free Lightroom preset called, "Round The Corner". Unfortunately I can't remember where I found the preset. Sorry about that. The preset obviously rounds the corners but also adds a special coloring.
I can tell you how to round the corner without a preset though... Under "Post-Crop Vignetting" in Lightroom simply move all the sliders to the left for a black frame and for a white frame move all the sliders to the left except for the "amount" slider move all the way to the right.
320, 50mm, f/2.0, 1/2500th
editing: I applied a free Lightroom preset called, "Lilac Love" found here.
Help us decide which one to print for Maddie's friends at school. Which is your favorite?
