Computer woes

My computer crashed!!! Ugh. blaaah. darn it.

My supportive husband has been trying his hardest to save my precious files but we're still not out of the water yet. Thank goodness I got a laptop about a month ago so I can just use that but I don't have Lightroom installed on it yet so I haven't been able to do any pictures. I didn't realize how much I depend on Lightroom! I ordered it from amazon a couple days ago so it should be up and running in a few days. Good thing because I had TWO photo shoots this week that I'm dying to share with you!

In the meantime I found these pictures as I was scrolling through our family blog tonight. This was about 2 years ago. Maddie wanted to take pictures with me so we set the timer on the camera. I can't believe how fast our kids are growing up! She looks so little in these pictures.

And THIS picture makes me laugh every time I see it. This is Lyndon on Easter morning about 2 years ago. Obviously, he is NOT AT ALL thrilled about wearing that sports jacket. The minute I put it on him he looked like this...Mr Sulky.

I was e-mailing someone today who was frustrated about not being able to take "the perfect" picture of her 3 daughters at the beach. She said she just couldn't get them all to look at her and cooperate. I've certainly been there before! But now I don't really worry about it. I've decided I like pictures best when it shows my kids true selves. Whether that be silly, uncooperative, or sulky...I like to capture life as it is.
